Help us build for current and future generations

Together we can build a better health care facility for our local community.

Everyone has a Sandy story

A new chapter for our community

With a growing and ageing population the need for local healthcare is increasing. Advances in clinical care has made it possible for many surgical procedures to be carried out same day, so that patients can return home shortly after surgery and not require an overnight stay in hospital.

Since expanding its surgical program in 2014, Sandringham Hospital has seen a 50 per cent increase in same day procedures.

To keep pace with community demand, we have a vision for the future — to build a dedicated day procedure centre for the community, in the heart of Bayside.

The day procedure centre will be built adjacent to the existing operating theatres at Sandringham Hospital and will cater for a range of procedures such as orthopaedic, general, ophthalmology and gynaecology surgery.
